Treatment of Excessive Sweating Hyperhidrosis

Boost Your Body Confidence

Botulinum Toxin anti-sweating Injection Treatment

Excessive sweating or perspiration (hyperhidrosis) can be extremely embarrassing and affect your self-confidence and social interactions.

Having non-surgical treatment can help alleviate this condition.

Although excessive sweating doesn't usually impact on your health, it can be embarrassing and affect your quality of life.

It may stop you doing things you'd like to because you're worried about sweating.

Well sweat NO MORE

At House of Ikigai we offer you a non-surgical temporary solution for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) which involves injections of Botox®, it works by stopping the signals to sweat from reaching the sweat glands.

Our patients usually find that their excessive sweating diminishes substantially within 48 hours of having an anti-sweating injection, and that the results can last from 6 to 12 months.

Who is suitable?

If you constantly sweat, even while you're cold, and have noticed your sweating negatively impact your daily life and your ability to do things like type on a keyboard or grip a pen, you could have hyperhidrosis.

Individuals suffering from hyperhidrosis do not have an off switch for their sweating, can produce enough sweat to soak through clothes, furniture, and shoes, which we understand can be a source of embarrassment and distress.

There are two primary varieties of hyperhidrosis: axillary, which tends to affect the underarms, and palmoplantar, which affects the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. However, some individuals who have one of these types of hyperhidrosis also experience excessive sweating elsewhere, like the groin, back, or legs.

Hyperhidrosis could be secondary to other conditions, the last thing we want to do, is to hide symptoms of something that could be more serious than sweating.

This is known as secondary hyperhidrosis. A pituitary tumor, autoimmune disorder, or a concussion that impacts a specific part of the brain can cause your sweat glands to constantly produce sweat rather than just reacting to heat or stress, like most sweat glands. This is why we would recommend you to visit your own GP to eliminate other causes.

Three main red flags, that will be cause for concern are

1) Onset; if it has come about recently and never effected you before, rather than an issue that you have experienced since puberty, then this may be a cause for further investigation.

2) Timing; if you experience sweating whilst asleep, rather than just during waking hours, then this may be a cause for further investigation.

3) Pattern; if you experience sweating only on one side; then this may be a cause for further investigation..

Please seek medical advice from you general family doctor.
